Pay: $18–$22 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am – 6:00pm or Monday–Friday 9:30am – 6:00pm
About the Role
Animal Eye Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable entry-level Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our specialty ophthalmology team in Pleasanton. This position supports our veterinarians, veterinary technicians, client service representatives, patients, and clients while helping maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with animals, committed to exceptional client service, and eager to learn in a collaborative veterinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, stock, and prepare exam rooms and treatment areas between patients.
- Assist with patient care, safe restraint, diagnostic testing, treatments, and minor procedures under appropriate supervision.
- Prepare supplies and equipment for appointments, surgeries, and procedures, including setup and cleanup.
- Clean, package, sterilize, and store instruments according to hospital protocols.
- Assist with approved medication preparation and provide professional client service, including routine calls and scheduling support.
- Complete laundry, restock supplies, assist with opening and closing duties, and support daily patient flow as needed.
